Hours & Locations

Woden Library will be temporarily closed from Wednesday 8 May 2024 until early November 2024 for upgrade works. The upgrades will improve the comfort for library visitors and help make the building significantly more environmentally-friendly. A pop-up library is available at 26 Corinna Street in Phillip (behind Chemist Warehouse). For more information see temporary closure of Woden Library.

Belconnen Library is located at 12 Chandler Street, Belconnen. Photo of entrance below.

Civic Library is located at Civic Square, London Circuit, Canberra City. Photo of entrance below. Please note the Access Canberra shopfront inside this branch has closed. Please visit the Access Canberra website to find a location.

Dickson Library is located at Dickson shops, off Antill Street in Dickson. There will be development building work in Dickson Place, on the carpark next to Dickson Library, until late 2023. Public holidays and library open/closure information

Notes:

• All dates are accurate at time of publication, but may be subject to change.
• Return chutes will generally be closed if a branch is closed for more than one day. For example, the Easter Long weekend and varying dates and branches during the Christmas to New Year period.
• The Home Library Service, Mystery Box service, regular programs and deliveries will not run if a branch is closed.
• Online services will still be available, including digital resources, searching, requesting and renewing items online. Troubleshooting help for digital resources is not available during the holiday period, except for any assistance able to be given by staff in branches.
